I am going out of town to take care of something for a few days, chicos. I will be back soon, but in the meantime, please do not neglect your training. If you have any problems, take them to Britannia or one of the other head mentors; they will be more than happy to help until I get back. And if I come back and hear any of you slipped in your training because you were partied too much, please be certain I'll train the ethanol right out of you. See you in a few days, ninos!

There is a small family emergency I must tend to for a few days. I'll be out of the country but I'll try I'll have my phone available, if any real crisis presents itself. Serena, Dylan, Val, 'Ula--I've told my students to seek you out if they have any problems until I return, though I suspect most of you have cowed them into holding their questions until next year. Don't worry, that is a compliment. I'll be back in a few days, gracias.

Congratulaciones on the musical, everyone! As I'm sure other mentors have noted, do not let it detract from your studies or your training, particularly those of you underclassmen who have been chosen for teams. As enjoyable as hitting that high note in America might be, it will not look so nice on camera when one of your less musical opponents is kicking you repeatedly in the face. Just a thought, ninos!

Students of ENM 5431, we are going to be having a joint session on Thursday morning with Professor Cole's students. In addition to our usual meditation and training, please be prepared to engage in a more rigorous physical workout--particularly sparring--than we have done so far this term. I also expect all of my freshmen to show the seniors what you are made of, si? Make me proud, mijitos.

As a Mentor, I am obligated to say that violence (and/or pranks) only begets more violence, and that if you pursue revenge, it is like trying to kill a snake with two heads. It will only bite you even as you are killing it. Tovia is in the right: make your public appearances, say something sincere in the confessional, and be done with it.
However, as a former Omega, I say hit them back, and hit them hard. But be smart about it, si? Put food coloring in their shampoo or something.

I think I am on the late train here, but allow me to introduce myself. I am Silvia Herrera, though you may know me as Inkarri. Freshmen, I will be your metahuman mentor. I'll keep it short: work hard, and I will prepare you for the tournament and afterwards. Slack off, and you will be picked off in the first round, shame your countries, your families, and likely have to retreat to a life of monastic solitude somewhere in the mountains. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, if that is what you are into. Good luck.
